The evolution from PC-Topp 2000 to PC-Topp.NET has brought about some significant changes that have made our product's latest version even more useful and easier to use and maintain in many ways:
Perfect Integration of Graphics or Other Applications
Already inPC-Topp 2000 graphics and other documents could be accessed via links tied to selected values in the order data. PC-Topp.NET now checks whether the target object is available. Like this, users can immediately see if there is a file connected to a link or not. And in PC-Topp.NET links can now be tied to document names derived from field names in very flexible ways.
No more IPX protocol
PC-Topp.NET does not require the IPX protocol any more - installation and maintenance of PC-Topp have become easier.
Easier Backup Procedure
Backups have become much less complicated. The PC-Topp Service can trigger backups independently at preset times. And the once familiar problem that the backup cannot be run because someone terminated a DOS box incorrectly is gone now, because PC-Topp can correct most such errors by itself.
Easier Reorganisation
Reorganization, too, benefits from the above improvement.
Improved TGV Machine Load
The machine load is now recalculated almost immediately after any changes to the orders or to planning. A click on a specific day displays the orders that make up the load on that day. In PC-Topp.NET the corrugator is an integral part of the TGV display, and similar machines can now be grouped.
New Corrugator Scheduling
In PC-Topp.NET, Corrugator Scheduling shows a day-by-day overview of the grades and quantities to schedule in a TGV like manner. The planner selects the flute type and instantly sees which grades must be scheduled; slider controls let him pre-select how many days ahead PC-Topp should schedule, and Optimisation starts with a simple mouse click.
PC-Topp.NET Monitor Screens
offer well structured full screen displays for permanent color coded information shown in large fonts that ensure readability from a distance.
The Corrugator Monitor permanently displays performance figures and diagrams at the corrugator, letting the crew know whether they are above or below target.
The Palletizer Monitor informs the palletizer operator about the orders that will arrive from conversion, allowing him to prepare the required pallet types and quantities.
